DYNAMICS NAV 2018 UPGRADE

Upgrading to Microsoft Dynamic NAV 2018 is now Risk-free with Adroit Solutions Limted
  • Are you planning an upgrade to NAV 2018?
  • Do you want a low-risk Upgrade Project with minimal day-to-day disruption; without spending tens of thousands of your IT budget?
  • Do you want to talk to our NAV Upgrade Customers who trust in our Safe Passage Methodology after saving over 60,000,000 UGX on their Upgrade bills?
If the answer to any of the above is yes then we are here to help.
At Adroit Solutions Limited, we believe that performing successful NAV upgrades time after time is not only a science but also an art.
Our dedicated upgrade team is rich with experience in a variety of upgrades; including upgrades from long-outdated versions and those involving heavily customised systems. Our precision and care coupled with a history of success allow us to offer our Risk-free Upgrade service with confidence.
So, what is the cost of NAV Upgrade?
Well, if you are up-to-date with your Microsoft BREP (usually charged annually as a % of actual license cost (pre-discount) via your Dynamics Partner), the new version licenses are free. The costs are potentially new IT equipment and new operating systems, however, the key cost will be the time and effort for moving your current Dynamics NAV/Navision installation to the latest version.
Adroit Solutions Limited can go further – we provide Fixed Price upgrades completed by our offshore NAV upgrade consultants resulting in significant savings for NAV users in the East Africa

MY SYSTEM IS HEAVILY CUSTOMISED
Most customers come to us with this concern and you’ll be pleased to know that heavy customisation won’t stop you enjoying the benefits of the newest version of NAV.
We have plentiful experience of taking customers forward with customisations and advise on which to keep and which to drop where new standard functionality can manage the same function. We carry out a detailed assessment before any work begins to ensure your upgrade is properly planned and well managed.

I NEED TO KEEP MY CUSTOMISATIONS
Where a customisation is so specific to your business that there is no similar standard functionality available, we recommend making full use of NAV’s new Extensions feature, taking customisations from the source code to sitting separately in extensions.
Though this comes at an extra cost, it will save you time and money in the long run when future upgrades will be much more straight forward. You’ll also be happy to know that we treat data in customisations as we would in a legacy system, allowing it to be migrated when you upgrade.

AN UPGRADE IS TOO EXPENSIVE
Our unique blend of UK and Offshore teams means that our prices almost always come in at much less than our competitors’ – our customers have already seen their upgrade bills go down by over 60%.
Moreover, our Fixed Price promise takes overrun risk away from customers as any extra cost is ours. When you upgrade to NAV 2018, enjoy 0% finance* or free UI training; making the deal that little bit sweeter

AN UPGRADE IS TOO RISKY
Sometimes customers are haunted with bad memories of past upgrade experiences and our job is to reassure them that Mercurius is a safe pair of hands.
Our dedicated upgrade team have successfully completed many upgrade projects and can understand and foresee the problems you may face. All developments we do at Mercurius are piloted in a test environment before go-live, ensuring your upgrade goes smoothly. Furthermore, we offer customer references upfront, direct from our biggest advocates in the market

AN UPGRADE WILL BE TOO DAUNTING FOR USERS
It is understandable that users might be daunted by a new interface so we do everything we can to ensure that they are comfortable and confident with the system before go-live.
We involve end users early on in the project to understand their positions and requirements and provide sufficient training so that, by the time of go-live, they have already seen and tested the system

I WON'T BENEFIT FROM UPGRADING
NAV 2018 is full of new and exciting features that will create real business value for your business.
From deep integration with the productivity tools you use every day to a universal app across tablet and mobile, NAV 2018 makes it quick and easy to do business anywhere at any time. We also offer free impartial advice – if we don’t think NAV 2018 is right for your business, we’ll point you in the right direction.

The Difference Between Microsoft Dynamics NAV and AX

The Difference Between Microsoft Dynamics NAV and AX Microsoft Dynamics offers a variety of ERP solutions. You might say there is a solution for every purpose and every industry. Two of the offerings,  Dynamics NAV  and  Dynamics AX (now part of  Dynamics 365 ) share some of the same features so you might wonder: ‘what are the differences and which is right for my organization?’ Both ERP solutions are highly customizable, available in and adaptable to many languages and currencies used around the world. The two solutions can also be employed in a central location or across diverse satellite locations and are designed to grow as a business grows. Their industry-specific functionality can assure compliance with local and regional requirements. In short, both solutions could rightly be described as comprehensive and well equipped to manage complex requirements of supply chain and inventory. So, what is the difference? Is one better than the other for your...

Office 365 integration in a Dynamics NAV hosting environment

Office 365 integration in a Dynamics NAV hosting environment We from the Microsoft Dynamics NAV support team (Microsoft CSS) see an increasing number of support cases coming in related to Office 365 integration in a hosting environment. This range from the relatively new Edit in Excel feature or the relatively new Outlook Business Inbox to the more familiar Office 365 Single Sign On functionality. This blog post is intended to help you to first discuss the requirements with your customer, it may also help you to understand the difficulties. It should be relatively easy to implement these capabiltities, but since there are so many external components that require different configuration setup, we may end up in high labor intense support cases where we need to put all pieces together. This blog post will hopefully serve as a guide where we summarize all relevant documentation that is out there. Finally, we will showcase a typical environment with several Azure AD’s amo...

Purchases and Direct Cost Applied Accounts in Microsoft Dynamics NAV

Purchases and Direct Cost Applied Accounts in Microsoft Dynamics NAV When working on new Dynamics NAV implementations (and for that matter, existing NAV solutions), we get a lot of questions about the Purchases and Direct Cost Applied Accounts—namely, what are they used for? We were trained in accounting that, when an inventory purchase receipt is invoiced (vouchered), we would debit the Inventory Account and credit the Accounts Payable Account and be done with it. Dynamics NAV doesn’t handle it that way. When we look at the General Posting Setup in Dynamics NAV 2013 (see below), we see that there is a column for the Purchases Account and the Direct Cost Applied Account. Figure 1 - General Posting Setup in Dynamics NAV 2013 When a purchase receipt is invoiced (vouchered) in NAV, we get the following General Ledger entries: Dr Purchases Account for the Actual Invoice Amount Cr Accounts Payable Account for the Actual Invoice Amount Dr Inventory Account for the Ac...
